Holistic and Oriental Treatments

Stone Therapy

Ancient massage technique dating back to American Indian traditions. It is a combination of the benefits of massage and the properties of the volcanic and/or river stones. The intense power that is released from the stones creates a state of harmony and a flow of positive energy that help achieve a deeply muscle-relaxing and powerfully energising effect.

Rebalancing

Manual massage that reduces deep body tensions through a combination of deep tissue massage, respiration, bioenergetics and meditation. Relieves pain by freeing muscular and emotive tension retained by the body. A form of body awareness, the aim of which is to re-acquire inner harmony.

Shiatsu

Based on the ancient acupuncture maps practised in China, a Japanese finger pressure technique exercised along the energy channels called "meridians", aimed at re-establishing a rebalance of energy and improving the functioning of all organs. The traction and pressure exerted by the therapist for some seconds on specific areas is interspersed by the application of gentle movements to the joints to re-activate mobility.

Tension release therapy massage

Light rhythmic movements sway the body creating a sensation of lightness and relaxation. Part of anti-stress techniques.

All-over deep massage

Massage therapy that combines several techniques: rebalancing, shiatsu, osteopathy, the Trager approach. Acts on deep tissues and muscles.

Ayurvedic Massage

An ages-old massage based on natural Indian medicine. The hands glide over all the body and the use of warm oils induces an extraordinary state of well-being and peace of mind. When practised regularly as in the Ayurvedic tradition, it keeps the three body humours (dosha) Vata, Pitta and Kapha in balance.  The skin is left gleaming, the circulation and the functions of the endocrine glands are stimulated and the immune system is reinforced.

Foot Reflexology

According to the ancient oriental tradition all the body’s energy channels have a corresponding  element found in the foot, called "reflex point", relating to the internal organs. Finger pressure stimulation of these points improves the functioning of the corresponding organs. Excellent treatment for relieving disorders of a psychosomatic nature.

Relaxation techniques

Individual or group sessions dedicated to the care of the body or of the mind. Yoga and Feldenkrais, respiration and creative imagination techniques are all used.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning " Universal Life Energy " and is an ancient art of self-healing that helps overcome physical and psychological blocks. The therapist’s hands are  laid gently on the "chakras" and energy centres, thereby channelling the energy of the universe, the energy of healing and love, which re-establishes harmony in the body, mind and soul.

Stone Massage

A highly effective holistic treatment for re-establishing harmony and releasing flows of positive energy. Thanks to the heat of the lava stones on the skin the body relaxes and the negative energy is absorbed. The initial sensation is absolutely unforgettable: as if a source of internal heat has exploded giving a spreading sensation of new vigour.

Aromatherapy

Massage technique with benefits both from the effect of general holistic massage and from aromatherapy, that is from the therapeutic and combined use of specific essential oils. It is also advised together with detoxifying, purifying, slimming and relaxing  treatments.

Tibetan

Tibetan medicine is a system that has been practised for more than 2500 years, which identifies psychological factors as the main causes of imbalance in each of the  "3 humours" (physical energy and secretions): wind-bile-phlegm. Massage is one of the main components of this system and serves to rebalance the absence or excess of    "humours in disorder", causes of alterations in body functions. It is advised in particular for persons affected by insomnia, hemicranias, depression and stress.

Hara massage

Manual massage focussing on the abdominal area of the body, aimed at re-balancing the organs deeply and lastingly. It improves the functions of the digestive and excretory systems and lightens diaphragm tension, which is a frequent cause of swelling and other disorders.

Craniosacral Treatment

This gentle method is based on osteopathic techniques. The manual work is very delicate but uses deep muscle techniques to act on the tension of internal and visceral muscles. Spontaneous body realignment is respected and facilitated which determines appreciable and lasting  changes. Particularly relaxing, it is advised in the case of  headaches, disorders of internal organs, states of anxiety and psychosomatically derived tension.

Anti-gravity massage

Indulge in the unforgettable experience of a treatment in the Spa’s warm water, supported by the therapist who will use delicate stretching movements combined with light pressure. Tensions disappear and are replaced by a deeply pleasant state of relaxation
